Not bad by any means, but while Jacinda Arden is a phenomenal woman, it’s clear she still has a lot of life left to live! It’s too early for a biography like this. A great biography of her would cover the Covid crisis, life after being PM and her next charity work. Obviously, not a possibility for this book at time of publication. I initially purchased it for a college course in Leadership and Organizational Behaviors, but I have enjoyed reading this book long after my course has completed. I did learn some interesting things in reading the book, but I found it a bit disjointed as in jumping around timewise. I see the intent - cover a significant incident as a subject on it's own, and then have a catchall to interpret say leadership style in which the incident is discussed again as an example, but it didn't quite flow for me by doing it the way it was done here. It was well laid out, covered Jacinda’s journey from childhood until the most recent updates on how she handled Covid 19. I was moved all over again by the Christchurch event, remembering how I felt at that exact moment when it happened. It covered the both the successes and struggles Jacinda faced as a young female politician. I just love how it portrays who Jacinda Ardern really is, the inspiring leader we all know. It’s a very easy read and I just hope politicians in the uk of all parties take note that with morals leadership is straightforward. Without them you are just there for your own ends.
